Moral Dilemmas Game – a Ruthless Party Game
How well do you know your friends? Can you predict their choices in the most absurd and controversial situations?
It is a game where you judge the morality of other players by predicting their responses to difficult dilemmas. Prepare for intense discussions, unexpected decisions, and a hefty dose of dark humor.
What is the game about?
Players face moral dilemmas that they must answer by choosing one of two options. But that's not all – the key to winning is not choosing your own answer, but predicting the decision of the majority of the group.
The game supports live discussions, negotiations, and persuading others of your point of view. It's not just about scoring points, but mainly about having fun and discovering how much your friends' opinions differ.
Game Rules:
Preparation:
- Players sit in a circle. - Everyone will receive two ballots: “A” and “B”. - A deck of dilemma cards is selected: green (easy), orange (difficult), or red (most controversial). - The first moderator is selected.
Game:
- The moderator draws a Dilemma card and reads it aloud. - The group discusses possible responses – one can persuade others, argue, or attempt to create confusion. - After the discussion ends, each person secretly chooses their answer ("A" or "B") and places the card face down on the table. - When everyone votes, the answers are revealed.
Scoring:
- Everyone who chose the option marked by the majority of players will receive 1 point. - The game lasts until someone scores 5 points (or until a predetermined number of rounds).
Additional rules and game variants:
- "Provocateur" Variant – Players can attempt to convince others to choose a specific answer, even if they voted differently themselves. - "Anonymous Voting" Mode – Responses can be collected and revealed all at once to prevent influencing the decisions of others. - "Narrator" Variant – After reading the card, a randomly selected person must justify their choice and others may attempt to challenge it. - "Truth or Lie" Mode – After casting their vote, players must declare whether their answer truly aligns with their beliefs or if they voted just to conform to the majority.
Game Contents:
- 30 voting cards - 6 game mode cards - 1 moral compass card - 15 double-sided score cards - 55 light dilemma cards - 55 medium dilemma cards - 55 heavy dilemma cards
