Dixit Disney is a special edition of the iconic storytelling game that transports players into the magical world of Disney's most famous animations. In the game, you will find 84 beautifully illustrated cards, inspired by iconic films that have been enchanting generations for years.
However, this is not an ordinary story about well-known fairy tales. Thanks to unique illustrations and their own creativity, players will rediscover these stories, interpreting them in a completely different way.
What is the game about?
Dixit is a game of associations, where creativity and the ability to read the thoughts of other players matter. Each card is an extraordinary illustration that can be interpreted in many different ways.
In each round, one of the players becomes the Storyteller. Select one card from your hand and assign an association to it – it can be a word, sentence, quote, or even a snippet from a song or movie.
The other players select one of their cards that they believe best matches the given association. Subsequently, all the cards are shuffled and laid out on the table. The task of the players is to guess which card belonged to the Narrator.
Objective of the game:
The objective is to score as many points as possible through skillful balancing of associations. The Narrator's password must not be too obvious or too difficult – if everyone or no one guesses it, the Narrator does not earn points.
It is also crucial to mislead other players into voting for our card instead of the correct one.
Game Rules:

Preparation – Each player receives a set of cards. The First Narrator is designated.

Association Submission – The narrator selects one of their cards and provides an association for it.

Card Selection – The other players choose one card that they think matches the association.

Shuffling and Revealing – All selected cards are shuffled and laid out on the table.

Voting – Players (except the Narrator) vote for the card they believe belongs to the Narrator.

Scoring:
- If everyone or no one guesses the Storyteller's card – the Storyteller receives 0 points and the other players receive 2 points each.
- If some, but not all, guess correctly – The Narrator and players who voted correctly each receive 3 points.
- The player whose card received incorrect votes will receive 1 additional point for each vote. -
New round – Another person becomes the Narrator and the game continues until the set number of rounds is reached or until the cards run out.
Other game variants:
- Narrative creation – Instead of providing a single association, the Narrator can tell a short story or context related to the card, which may or may not align with reality.- Misleading – Players can actively persuade others why their card is the right one by creating engaging stories and manipulating votes.
- Multi-level passwords – Players can specify that the association must contain at least two related elements, making interpretation more difficult.
- Forbidden words – It is possible to create a list of words that are not allowed to be used when giving associations (e.g. "magical", "kingdom", "hero"), which requires a more creative approach.
