Rebel Game Dixit – narrative card game - basic version
Dixit is an exceptional social game that combines creativity, intuition, and the ability to interpret images. Players invent and guess associations to richly illustrated cards that are full of hidden meanings. The game requires empathy for the way other players think and makes each match a unique experience.
Game Rules:
Preparation:
- Each player receives 6 cards illustrated with pictures.- Each participant will also receive a voting token (if playing in the 2021 edition).
- The board with the scoring track is placed in the middle of the table and the players' pieces are placed on the starting field.
Round Progress:

The storyteller selects a card – in each round, one of the players becomes the storyteller. Draws a card from the hand and provides a password describing the illustration. It can be a single word, a whole sentence, a quote, a song or movie excerpt – anything that he thinks relates to the image.

The remaining players attach cards – each of the other players selects one card from their hand that they believe matches the clue given by the storyteller. Then he hands it over to the narrator covered.

Shuffling and Laying Out Cards – the storyteller shuffles all the cards (their own and those received from the players) and lays them out face up in a row on the table.

Voting – players (except the storyteller) vote secretly, indicating which card belongs to the storyteller. Everyone uses their voting token for this. It is not allowed to vote for your own card.

Scoring:
- If all players or no one guesses the storyteller's card, the storyteller scores 0 points and the others score 2 points each.
- If at least one player, but not all, correctly identifies the storyteller's card, then the storyteller and all players who voted correctly receive 3 points each.
- Each player also receives 1 point for each person who voted for their card instead of the storyteller's card. -
End of the round – players draw one card each to have 6 cards again. The narrator becomes the next person in a clockwise direction.
End of the game:
The game continues until the draw pile is exhausted or a predetermined number of points is reached. The player who scores the most points wins.
