Ebru, also known as marbling is an ancient Turkish technique of decorating paper (and other materials) by applying patterns that form on the surface of specially thickened water using colors and special tools.
This creative set allows for the independent creation of abstract works, self-expression, and showcasing the artistic soul.

What does the set include?
- a rectangular plastic dish measuring 24 cm x 18 cm x 2,5 cm
- powder for liquid preparation (carrageenan)
- 12 tubes of paint in various colors, each 16ml
- 24 sheets of paper measuring 20,8 cm x 14,6 cm
- 2 pipettes
- spoon
- tweezers
- pattern-making tools: brush, spatula, drawing needles, comb
Instructions for execution:
- Pour 250 ml of water and 1 tablespoon of powder (carrageenan) into a small bowl. The ratio of powder to water should be 1:200. Then mix and let it sit for 4-6 hours. If you want to speed up the process, pour some warm water at a temperature of around 40°C and stir before setting aside.
- Choose the colors you will use and shake the bottle to mix the pigment. Cut off the top part of the cork. Carefully squeeze the color into the liquid and wait a moment before pouring another color.
- Using tools (needles, comb, brush), draw the selected pattern on the color.
- Take a sheet of clean paper and lay it flat on the surface with the paint. Gently press with your hand or a spatula so that the paper adheres closely to the surface, and wait for 3 to 5 seconds.
- Lift one end of the paper with the corner of the drawing needle, gently lift the paper with your hand and place the finished picture on a clean, flat surface, colored side up, to dry naturally. Done!
