The rules of "Charades" are very simple and allow for a quick start to the fun
Game Preparation:
1. The game contains 55 cards, and each of them features 5 terms – a total of up to 275 terms!
Each password can be represented in three ways:
- Describe – use words, but do not say the password!
- Show – use gestures and facial expressions, but do not speak!
- Draw – illustrate the password on paper or a board.
2. Team division:
- Players are divided into two or more teams.
- Each team selects one person who will represent the password to the rest of the team in that round.
3. Game progression:
- One team member draws a card and chooses one of the terms to act out.
- The time for guessing the password can be set according to the players' preferences – e.g. 30 seconds per password or time limit for the entire team series.
- If the team guesses the password within the set time, they earn a point. If not – the chance passes to the next team.
4. Game modes:
- Cooperation – players work together to guess as many passwords as possible within the given time.
- Competition – teams compete to see which one can guess more passwords.
5. End of the game:
- The game ends when all cards are used or after the designated game time.
- The team with the most points wins!
Want to spice up the game? Here are a few more ideas:
- Extreme mode – enter restrictions, e.g. using only one hand to show passwords or drawing with eyes closed!
- Lightning Round – limit the time to guess each password to 10 seconds!
- Mix Method – each team draws how they must present the password (description, demonstration, drawing).
